Welcome to Plate Blast ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information in connection with our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the terms below.

1. Account Creation and Anonymity

Users must create an account to access features. However, all participation within the App—including reporting license plates ("Blasts"), tracking, and browsing—is fully anonymous. We do not request or store your real name, address, or other personally identifiable information.

Premium features are managed by Stripe. We do not store full payment details or personal billing information; all payment processing is handled by Stripe's secure systems.

2. What We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Device & Technical Info: Device model, OS version, and crash logs
• Authentication Data: Email address or OAuth ID, used for login only
• Plate Activity: Lookup history, tracked plates, achievements, point usage
• Report Metadata: Date/time, geolocation (used internally, never displayed), and text content of plate reports
• Notification Tokens: For push alerts via Firebase Cloud Messaging
• Premium Purchase Status: Confirmed by Stripe, not identifiable
• We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous app usage data to improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is collected

3. How We Use the Data

We use your information to:

• Enable core app features like tracking, achievements, and notifications
• Support report moderation, abuse prevention, and platform integrity
• Improve the app through usage analysis and anonymized behavior trends
• Display relevant info on plates that you choose to search or track
• Allow premium features such as report hiding using points

We store but do not display geolocation data attached to plate reports. This data may be used for internal analysis, moderation, or abuse detection.

4. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell or trade your information. We may share limited data with:

• Service Providers: Supabase (database and auth), Stripe (payments), Firebase (notifications)
• Analytics Providers: We may implement tools such as Google Analytics in the future. If so, anonymized usage data will be shared under their privacy terms.
• Legal or Safety Obligations: If legally required or necessary for safety investigations
• Moderation Team: Admins may review reports and location data for platform health

5. User Access and Control

You can:

• Update or delete your account from within the App or by emailing support
• Request account removal at any time by emailing [email protected]
• Opt out of push notifications via your device settings
• Use all features anonymously once logged in—other users will not see who submitted a report

6. Retention of Information

We retain:

• Plate Reports: Indefinitely unless removed by an admin or hidden via point redemption
• Account Data: Until you delete your account or are inactive for over 24 months
• Location Data: Stored in our backend, never displayed publicly

7. Security

We use encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure (Supabase, Stripe) to safeguard your data. No method is 100% secure, but we maintain industry best practices.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated via app notification. Continued use indicates acceptance.
